Ukrainian Evaluation Association (UEA) was established in July 2011 as a nationwide network of professionals in the field of evaluation. UEA has developed from a Facebook group to a wide network of people led by common mission and goals.

  • July 2011 – UEA was created as informal professional network of evaluators.
  • February – August 2012: base-line study “The state of Evaluation Capacity Development in Ukraine: Demand, Supply, Institutionalization’ – a basis for future UEA Action Plan 2013-2014;
  • September 2012 - needs and capacities assessment of UEA members to develop appropriate activities;
  • December 3-6, 2012 - Ukrainian Evaluation Association is a member of Network of Evaluation Societies in Europe (NESE) and subscriber to «Chiang Mai declaration of civil society on uniting efforts aimed at improving evaluation» at the International Forum by EvalPartners initiative (December 3-6, 2012, Thailand)
  • January-February 2013 pilot training course “ABC of Evaluation of Philantropist Projects”;
  •  March 2013: UEA Strategic plan for 2013-2015 defining its priorities,  concrete activities, operational plan for 2013 and thematic groups;
  • June 2013 – legal registation of NGO «Ukrainian Evaluation Association»
  • September 2014 presentation of the Glossary of Terms in M&E in Ukrainian funded by the Swiss Confederation
  • From 2011 till June 2015 UEA conducted 32 meetings and organise/co-organised more than 15 events.
  • 2015 was declared worldwide as the Year of Evaluation and UEA conducts many of event and meeting devoted to it.
